By the end of 2020 US population was approximately 331 million and counting. Below is a list of US states by population, ranked from the largest population to the smallest. Not all the biggest states by area have the most population, although some of the biggest states are home to the most people. Alaska is the US’s largest state per area but one of the lowest in terms of population.
