State Seal of Montana
The present-day Seal of Montana is the same territorial seal of Montana which was adopted in the year 1865; it was not changed even after Montana became a state. The title of the seal is mentioned in its outer ring and the motto ”Gold and Silver” is written in Spanish. The seal features the ”Great Falls” of the Missouri river, mountains, and forests all of which represent the State’s natural beauty. Industry has been represented on the seal by a shovel, a pick, and a plow.
