Wisconsin State Seal


Created in 1851, the Great Seal of the State of Wisconsin features the state’s coat of arms which includes a shield being supported by a miner and a sailor. On top of the shield, a banner reads ”Forward” which is the state motto. The badger is the official state animal. Other symbols representing agriculture and mining are also featured. The Secretary of State’ is the official custodian of the seal of Wisconsin.
