Kentucky Motto
United we Stand, Divided we Fall
Kentucky’s official state motto is “United we stand, divided we fall” and it appears on the state flag and the great seal of Kentucky.
Kentucky also has a Latin motto which was recognized officially in 2002. The Latin motto “Deo gratiam habeamus” translates to “Let us be grateful to God.” This phrase appears in the preamble to the constitution of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
