Louisiana Motto
Union, Justice, and Confidence
Louisiana’s official state motto is “Union, Justice, and Confidence.” It was decided by Governor William Wright Heard in 1902 to standardize one design for the official state seal. This motto appears on the Louisiana flag as well.
Louisiana also has an official state slogan which is “Come Fall in Love With Louisiana All Over Again.”
